Three internal 9 volt transistor radio batteries provide sufficient power for the CES 436 to source 4 to 20 mA into a 0 to 1000 ohm load. In the two wire mode, operating power is derived from the loop under test. The CES 436 will operate with a 6 to 35 volt drop across the transmitter.

Failure of theloop status led to illuminate indicates insufficient loop current due to an open loop, high loop inpedance, loop supply failure(2 wire), or low battery power.

Switch selectable 4, 12, and 20mA settings ensure rapid calibration with laboratory accuracy in the field. When the 20 mA output is selected , the variable control maybe used to generate any output for 4 to 20 mA.
