The CES 489 has 8 inputs that can be configured at the factory as either supply or return in any desired combination. The 489 was desisned to be used with either the CED 450 Draft Range transmitter or the CES 367 Auto Zero Draft Range Transmitter.

The CES 489 features a 3 mode controller with independent gain, rate and reset functions with supply, return, and output indicators. The controller has an automatic compensated offset (reset) with adjustable rate circuit which minimizes process error. During proportional plus reset control, the circuit senses the approach of the process signal to the set point and starts corrective action, thereby eliminating process signal overshoot. The rate control is effective over the entire range.
