GENERAL DESCRIPTION
CES has developed a flexible Permeability system that can be used to measure the permeability of
a variety of mediums. We can provide stand alone units, or system that can interface with your
existing hardware. The heart of the system is our proprietary control and sequencing module. To
insure quality readings, air is drawn through the medium, and the differential pressure is maintained to a predefined
standard. This allows the unit to make faster acquisition of data reading without the need for the user to
make adjustments. The tester provides the user with all the necessary signals to make the actual flow
calculations with a user provided PC or PLC. This allows the user to manipulate the data as needed
for data logging, product profiling, or report generation. The Permeability tester can also be
ordered as a stand alone unit that will provide the user with a local readout of the actual permeability, a go/no
signal/ or any combination of all 3 options.
CES will help you determine the best solution for your application. Systems have been designed
that are capable of measuring flow rates in the 1 to 100cc per minuet range, all the way to 100 to
1000CFM range. Mutlitrange units, and exchangeable test heads add to the flexibility of this system. With
it’s multiprocessor design and proprietary control algorithm, CES offers the cutting edge in
permeability testing.
